Other active initiatives:
Education. OLSF conducts seminars on sustainability
concepts and practices, some accredited by the Oregon State Bar. It also conducts leadership seminars for
small groups of lawyers.
Laws and
Regulations. OLSF is
developing tools for assessing laws and regulations through the lens of
sustainability. Its first project is a
review of the Oregon Business Corporation Act.
Law-Sustainability Study. OLSF is facilitating a statewide study on the interface between (1) the legal profession and (2) the sustainability movement. Representatives from sections of OSB, Oregon's three law schools, and OLSF are involved.
Sustainable Lawyer Handbook. OLSF is developing a handbook for lawyers on how to green both their personal and professional lives.
Sharing Know-How with Other States:
As a pioneer in exploring the interface between the legal
profession and sustainability, OLSF shares know-how with lawyers in other
